Here is a picture to prove that I am really in Korea. (Or is it all an illusion a la David Copperfield, done with mirrors?)
Sometimes I arrive right as the light is turning green. Then I wait for about 4 minutes to cross. Believe me, J walking is NOT an option for those who value their lives.
The university campus is gorgeous and green and peaceful, and my neighborhood has a cozy yet lively atmosphere. Little restaurants, bars and general stores; it has a college town feel.
Here's a view of the western end of Daegu, where my university and my apartment are. I took this on a hike up Apsan, a mountain with a ridge that runs along the southern edge of the city. Daegu is enclosed by green mountains on basically all sides, which is what makes the pollution problems so bad and the temperatures so extreme. To my mind, it's a fair trade-off.
Finally, here's a closeup from the above shot showing the campus, the campus chapel (up on the hill), and the hill I like to climb above the campus. The top has a 360-degree view of the campus, industrial complexes, mountains, a river and farmlands. Gorgeous.

Yay! Clamor rewarded!
My goodness, the industries and buildings tucked into the hillsides are so picturesque...
Wow! It's gorgeous.
@rebel: Yeah, I think so too.
(@Chira: until you get up close.)
